The Bespoke framing process begins with you the customers thoughts and feelings with regard to the item. With our experience and artistic backgrounds we can then show you several ways to frame to your requirements and to best enhance / complete your item.
We aim to make this process both a shared and enjoyable process and at the end of the order you will be confident in the choices made.
Your framing order will then be completed to professional standards in house, using traditional techniques with modern equipment.
We use numerous well known suppliers for our mouldings and we have a vast amount of sample chevrons in shop.
Bare wood mouldings can be coloured / limed or waxed. Minerva mouldings (plastic composite) comparable to wooden, all colours / sizes and finishes available. We can usually match existing frames for colour or style if original moulding cannot be found.
For the most unique swept frames we supply hand made bespoke Frinton frames.
Mountboard we use is Daler-rowney or Colourmount (acid free - white core). Mounting can greatly add to enhancing the framing and combinations extensive. In addition to single / double (even triple) mounts we can also use slips to create further detail and depth.
These slips come in numerous colours / sizes and finishes - most common being wood or plastic.
These give great depth to items and used by leading publishers such as Buckingham Fine Art / Washington Green and DeMontfort. Utilising bevelled foam they can be lined with varying colours and in combination with normal mounts.
We can also provide circular and oval mounts
This is the process where items can be heat sealed onto heat sensitive board with the aim to make the item completely flat and will always remain flat. Ideal for larger prints requiring mounts which could otherwise become wavy.
Creases and folds can be reduced on prints. Not advisable for Limited editions or signed images
